July
I have been so neglectful of my blog, time just goes by so fast and so many things get left undone! I feel summer has finally arrived but one never knows. Knitting continues but not a quickly as I would like, my knitting is steady but not fast.

Iceland 2006
This is a picture of me taken outside the Handknitter's Association Shop in Reykjavik duing our visit in November 2006.
Wind/Rain
The day started off very nicely but it has now started to rain and it's very windy, makes you think of warm woolly mitts and hats. Working on fingerless mitts with fuzzy cuffs (Triffy Collection). I have done dark grey with autumn, light grey with black, grey and white and now sage with silvery green.
Just came from the post office and my package from Iceland with my Lopi wool arrived, so excited. It made me think of the wonderful trips I made there a few years ago. I will now be able to get some beanies done to embroider.I wanted to upload another picture but am having issues with the upload, go figure!
I must get back to my knitting, finish the pair of mitts I am knitting and start another pair, I think I only have about 75 more pairs to do!!! Does anyone want to help?

Has Spring Arrived
We thought that Spring arrived on March 21 but we have certainly had our share of wild weather since that. Today makes it feel like spring even if the temperatures doesn't say that, at least the sun is shining and the snow is melting.
Working this weekend on getting orders ready to ship, one of the tasks I least like is still to do, sew on tags, maybe I will enroll the help of a friend.
Where does one find some good knitters? It is a huge problem, there are knitters, those that think they can knit and those that really can knit!
Then there are the winter knitters, and those that won't knit during the summer, those that will only knit certain things and those that will knit but at their time. The world of the hand knitter.
I need a few knitters who will knit what I need, in a timely fashion and who can do so without too much instruction, do you know of anyone who fits that description?

Provincial Wholesale Show
Well it's that weekend in March of the Provincial Wholesale Show and seminars. Now all would be fine if it wasn't near St. Patrick's Day and we were not expecting Sheila's Brush. Will it be a brush or a darn good storm? That is still the question.
If you have a retail outlet that sells fine craft then you should be attending the show on Sunday starting at 1:00 PM and Monday until 1:00 PM. See what's new and meet the crafts people who produce it.

The creative mind!
This weekend we did a product development workshop for new product ideas and patterns for Trinity Crafts. The workshop presenter was Susan Furneaux and there were six of us who sat around the kitchen table and drew, knit, hooked and had a wonderful time. The main theme is Mountain Ash or locally know Dog Berry. Lots of ideas were generated and some samples made. I'll share just a couple of my knits!
